Abstract:
This encoder is provided to a motor and comprises: an encoder-use thermistor resistor for detecting an encoder temperature; a temperature detection processing unit that detects the encoder temperature on the basis of a resistance value of the encoder-user thermistor resistor, and detects a motor temperature on the basis of a resistance value of a motor-use thermistor resistor, which is provided to the motor and which is for detecting the motor temperature; and an abnormality detection unit that, on the basis of the magnitude relationship between the motor temperature and the encoder temperature detected by the temperature detection processing unit, detects an abnormality of the encoder-use thermistor resistor and the motor-use thermistor resistor.
