Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an encoding device and an encoding method, a decoding device and a decoding method, and a program which make it possible to perform highly accurate error correction. An error correcting process for correcting a data error or data loss where the location of data having the data error or data loss is identified in encoded data, and deletion/insertion correction for correcting data deletion or data insertion of which the location in the encoded data is not identified are combined and repeated during decoding until the error is eliminated. The present disclosure is applicable to DNA storage.
