Abstract:
An encoding mechanism and a key for a clutch-type lock. A clutch pin (6) is disposed inside the lock. The clutch pin (6) is linked to an unlocking mechanism. An encoding mechanism is disposed inside the lock, and the encoding mechanism comprises multiple encoding sheets (2). A reset block (213) and a tooth socket (212) are disposed on a protruding block (42) of an encoding sheet (2). Each encoding sheet (2) has a same protruding block (42), but has a different position relative to a clutch groove (221). The multiple encoding sheets (2) are axially stacked, in a concentric and co-axial manner. Multiple tooth blocks (11) are disposed on a key (1), which respectively correspond to the tooth sockets (212) of the multiple encoding sheets (2).
