Abstract:
The present application provides an encoding method and encoding apparatus based on systematic polar codes, capable of reducing the number of code words having the minimum code distance and improving the performance of a code spectrum. The method comprises: obtaining an input information bit sequence; determining a target matrix according to a first polar code generation matrix and a transformation matrix; encoding the input information bit sequence according to an inverse matrix of a first matrix to obtain a first bit sequence, the input information bit sequence being a bit sequence corresponding to information bits, and the first matrix being a sub-matrix consisting of rows and columns corresponding to the information bits in the target matrix; and encoding the first bit sequence according to a second matrix to obtain a second bit sequence, the second matrix being a sub-matrix consisting of the rows corresponding to the information bits and columns corresponding to frozen bits in the target matrix. The transformation matrix may realize the effect of performing sub-block column transformation on the first polar code generation matrix.
