Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of batteries, and provide an end cover assembly, a battery cell, a battery, and an electric device. The end cover assembly is used for the battery cell. The end cover assembly comprises an end cover, an insulating member, and a switch component. The end cover is used for sealing a first opening of a housing of the battery cell. The insulating member is provided on the side of the end cover facing the housing, an accommodating cavity is formed in the insulating member, the accommodating cavity is used for accommodating a flame-retardant medium, and the insulating member is provided with a discharge opening communicated with the accommodating cavity. The switch component is connected to the insulating member and seals the discharge opening, and the switch component is configured to open the discharge opening when the battery cell is in thermal runaway, so as to release the flame-retardant medium into the housing. When the battery cell has a tendency to undergo the thermal runaway, the switch component opens the discharge opening of the accommodating cavity, so as to enable the flame-retardant medium to be injected into the housing to inhibit a combustion reaction in the housing, thereby improving the safety of the battery cell.
