Abstract:
Provided are an end effector and a method for attaching a member, the end effector and method being for efficiently adjusting the orientation or inclination of a plate-form member. An end effector 10 used in order to grasp a plate-form member 12 and attach the same to a prescribed position, wherein the end effector 10 is configured to be provided with: a support means 14 for supporting the member 12; a support table 20 provided to an end part of the support means 14 with a universal joint 16 interposed therebetween, the support table 20 being in surface contact with the member 12 and supporting the member 12; a grasping means 22 secured to a base part 18 of the support table 20 so as to be capable of moving linearly in a planar direction at both ends sandwiching the support table 20 in the planar direction; and an angle-changing means 24 for changing the angle of inclination of the support table 20 relative to the support means 14.
