Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose an end-to-end path discovery and use method and apparatus. The method comprises: a source end device sends, to a sink end device, M path discovery request packets carrying different labels, the label being used as a factor for the path discovery request packet and a data packet selection path; after receiving the M path discovery request packets, the sink end device sends a path discovery response packet to the source end device, the path discovery response packet comprising path quality information corresponding to at least one of the M labels; after receiving the path discovery response packet, the source end device sends a data packet to the sink end device, the data packet comprising the label of a path discovery request packet having the path quality information meeting a data packet quality requirement; the sink end device receives the data packet. In the above technical solution, the source end device can forward data to different paths according to the received path quality information, to improve the network throughput.
