Abstract:

An endoprosthesis of the hip joint comprising a head to be introduced into the cotyloid cavity and a leg (2) to be introduced into the medullar canal of the thighbone. The leg (2) is provided, in its upper part, with a through opening (3) through which passes a U-shaped clamp (4) secured in it by means of a pin (5), both made of a biodegradable polymer material; in its middle part with at least two longitudinal slots (6) in which are located movable combined inserts (7) whose parts adjacent to the back of the bone are made of a biodegradable polymer material; and in its lower part is provided with a cap (8) made of a biologically inert material.
