Abstract:
An endoscope image acquisition unit 32 acquires shape information on an inserted endoscope portion during an endoscopic examination. In response to prescribed conditions, the present invention executes at least one of: the processing in which an insertion state estimation unit 33 inputs the shape information into an insertion state training model 33a and acquires, from the insertion state training model 33a, an insertion state category obtained by categorizing the insertion state of the inserted endoscope portion; and the processing in which a shape determination unit 34 applies the shape information to a prescribed shape category determination logic 34a to acquire an insertion shape category obtained by categorizing the insertion shape of the inserted endoscope portion.
