Abstract:
This endoscope has: an operation section configured provided with a tip, which is equipped with an imaging element that images an imaging subject, a bowable bowing section, which connects a plurality of bowing pieces, a grasped section, which is provided in the direction of an extended line of the axis of insertion of an inserted section that connects a flexible tube that is minute and flexible, and a main operation section, which has a lengthwise axis that is parallel to the lengthwise axis of the grasped section and is provided in the direction of an extended line of the lengthwise axis of the grasped section; at least a pair of traction members that are guided within the operation section, extend from the bowing pieces configuring the bowing section, and cause the bowing section to bow by moving relatively; a pulley provided to the operation section and to which the sections partway along the traction members are wound and disposed in the same direction; a motor that is provided to the operation section and that rotates the pulley, to which the traction members have been wound and disposed, in the direction of traction; an operation element that protrudes from the main operation section and has a shaft that can be tilted with respect to the main operation section; a hanging frame that is provided to the shaft of the operation element and that is provided with attachment sections to which the at least a pair of traction members guided within the operation section are respectively affixed, the attachment sections facing each other sandwiching the operation element; and an attachment path setting member that is provided within the operation section and that guides to the attachment section the plurality of traction members that have been wound to the pulley and led out.
