Abstract:
Provided are an endoscope system, an image processing method, and a program that are capable of obtaining high-quality, color drift-free color images and special images. The endoscope system 1 comprises: an imaging element 244 having a color filter 2442 laminated upon the light-reception surface of each pixel and capable of generating image data by capturing images of a subject; a light source 31 capable of irradiating light in a first wavelength band and light in a second wavelength band; an illumination control unit 33 that causes the light source 31 to alternately irradiate light in the first wavelength band and light in the second wavelength band; and an image processing unit 51 that synthesizes first image data generated by the imaging element 244 when the light source 31 irradiates light in the first wavelength band and second image data generated by the imaging element 244 when the light source 31 irradiates light in the second wavelength band.
