Abstract:
The present invention provides an endoscope system with which, when multiple light rays are produced and switched to obtain multiple images that are to be displayed in a switched manner, differences between the images can be visualized with the color tones of the images being coordinated in accordance with changes in the subject. The endoscope system is provided with: a light source (14); a light source control unit (21); an image acquisition unit (52); a white balance unit (55); and a correction coefficient calculation unit (56). The white balance unit (55) performs a white balance process by multiplying a first image signal by a first gain coefficient and multiplying a second image signal by a second gain coefficient, and by using a correction gain coefficient obtained by correcting the first gain coefficient and/or the second gain coefficient.
