Abstract:

Provided is an endoscope configured such that the curvature of the large intestine can be observed more accurately. An endoscope according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a front-end portion, which has an imaging device installed thereon, the imaging device having a fisheye lens; a bent portion, which is connected to the front-end portion, and which comprises a plurality of bent sections; an insertion portion; and a manipulation portion. The insertion portion is a portion that connects the bent portion and the manipulation portion, and, as at least a part of the insertion portion is inserted into a body cavity or taken out of the body cavity, the front-end portion and the bent portion are moved inside the body cavity. The front-end portion has a protrusion, which protrudes towards the front, and which has a width gradually decreasing towards the front, and the imaging device is installed on the foremost end of the protrusion.
