Abstract:
An endoscope (2) comprises: a fixed frame (31) which is non-rotatably provided on a distal end (15) of an insertion part (10); an imaging unit (40) which is retained by the fixed frame (31); a movable frame (32) which has a channel retaining hole (32c) for retaining a distal end of a treatment tool channel (42) inserted through the insertion part (10) and which is supported by the fixed frame (31) so as to be freely rotatable about an optical axis (Oa) of the imaging unit (40) at a location farther toward the distal end than the fixed frame (31) is; and a power transmission mechanism (50) which transmits, to the movable frame, the power for rotatingly moving the movable frame (32).
