Abstract:
Provided is an endoscope which can easily connect the distal end of a wire to a treatment tool stand. A wire (60) has an engagement portion (100) on the distal end. A stand (30) has an abutment portion (101) which applies a rotary force toward a collapse direction to the stand (30) by having the engagement portion (100) abutted thereto. The stand (30) has a housing portion (102) which has an opening (104). A wall portion (81) is provided in a position opposing the trajectory of movement of the engagement portion (100) when the stand (30) moves between a standing position and a collapsed position with the engagement portion (100) abutting the abutment portion (101). While the engagement portion (100) is abutting the abutment portion (101), when the stand (30) is between the standing position and the collapsed position, the wall portion (81) restricts movement in the direction that the engagement portion (100) enters the opening (104), and when the stand (30) is between the collapsed position and an attachment/detachment position, allows movement in the direction that the engagement portion (100) enters the opening (104).
