Abstract:
Provided is a disposable type endoscope with which an imaging unit can be re-used readily. A forward end portion main body (31) is provided at the forward end of an insertion part of this endoscope. Provided in the interior of the forward end portion main body (31) is an imaging unit (45) held in a removable manner and housed in an air-tight or liquid-tight state with respect to the exterior space. The forward end portion main body (31) comprises a lens cover (42), an imaging unit housing portion (46) for holding the imaging unit (45), and a first opening section (37A), such that, when the imaging unit (45) that is held in the imaging unit housing portion (46) is pulled toward the base end of the forward end portion main body (31), the imaging unit (45) is able to pass through the first opening section (37A) and disengage.
