Abstract:
An energy conversion device comprises a first sound wave generation unit (30), a second sound wave generation unit (40), and an output unit (50) that are provided in a tube member (20). The first sound wave generation unit has a thermal energy generation unit (32) to generate thermal energy from electric energy and generates sound waves by way of self-excited thermoacoustic oscillations in a working gas by converting the thermal energy generated by the thermal energy generation unit to acoustic energy. The second sound wave generation unit generates sound waves by way of self-excited thermoacoustic oscillations in a working gas by converting the thermal energy supplied from a supply heat source to acoustic energy. The output unit converts the acoustic energy of the sound waves from the first sound wave generation unit and the second sound wave generation unit to cold energy and outputs same.
