Abstract:
A method of supplying energy to a set of customer buildings (14) having energy consuming appliances includes establishing a set of customer tolerances (34) for conserving energy use in a set of customer buildings (14). A remote control system (12, 16, 26, 28) to control appliances (18) in the customer buildings (14) is established. At least some of the appliances (18) in the set of buildings (14) are controlled with the remote control system (12, 16, 26, 28) according to the customer tolerances (34) to reduce the demand for energy.
