Abstract:

This energy management system is to be used in a vehicle (100) equipped with a first power source (1), a first conversion unit (3), a power storage unit (5), and a second power source (2). The energy management system is equipped with a second conversion unit (6), a heat storage unit (7), mode switching units (12, 14, 16, 19), and a control unit. The mode switching units switch between a heat storage mode for storing heat converted by the second conversion unit in the heat storage unit, and a heat radiation mode for radiating heat stored in the heat storage unit to heat transmission targets (1, 5). When the temperature of the heat storage unit is at or below a phase transition temperature, the heat storage unit changes to a solid first phase state, and when the temperature of the heat storage unit exceeds the phase transition temperature, the heat storage unit changes to a solid second phase state. The heat storage unit stores or discharges heat by phase-changing between the first phase state and the second phase state. The control unit controls the operation of the mode switching units and the second conversion unit on the basis of the power storage state of the power storage unit and the conversion state of the first conversion unit.
