Abstract:
An energy storage system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a module stack including a plurality of battery modules stacked on top of one another; a venting detection unit for detecting venting occurring in at least some of the plurality of battery modules; and a coolant supply unit which, when the venting in the battery modules is detected by the venting detection unit, supplies a coolant to the battery modules in which the venting has occurred.
