Abstract:
An energy storage system with enhanced safety according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a control container and a battery container. The control container comprises: a main line; a main switch configured to be connected to the main line; and a main control unit configured to control the operation state of the main switch. The battery container comprises: a sub line configured to be electrically connected to the main line; a battery unit configured to be connected to the sub line; a sensing unit configured to sense whether a provided door is open or closed; and a sub control unit configured to determine the open/closed state of the door on the basis of a sensing signal received from the sensing unit, and transmit the determined open/closed state to the main control unit.
