Abstract:
Provided is an energy storage system with which it is possible to decrease the cost of a device. This energy storage system comprises a rotational body such as a water wheel 100, and a generator 11 that converts the rotational force of the rotational body into electric power. The electric power generated by the generator 11 from the rotation of the water wheel 100 is stored in a secondary battery 20. In the energy storage system, the generator 11 and the secondary battery 20 are connected in parallel, and a battery voltage is applied to the generator 11. Thus, the induced voltage of the generator 11 is controlled by the battery voltage, and the rotational speed of the generator 11 is controlled.
