Abstract:
Provided is an engagement chain (12) that includes a pair of chain members (12a, 12b) which are capable of advancing/retreating. Each chain member (12a, 12b) comprises: a plurality of link plates (21, 22), each having a pair of pin holes (23a, 23b); and a plurality of connecting pins (24). The plurality of link plates (21, 22) are rotatably connected in series by the connecting pins (24) at the pin holes (23a, 23b). The pair of pin holes (23a, 23b) are disposed so as to be aligned in the advance/retreat direction (Z), and the sizes of the pin holes are mutually different. Each connecting pin (24) of the chain members (12a, 12b) is tightly fitted into the smaller pin hole (23a) of the pin holes (23a, 23b) in one link plate of the two link plates (21, 22) which are adjacent in the advance/retreat direction (Z), and loosely fitted into the larger pin hole (23b) of the pin holes (23a, 23b) of the other link plate. In a state in which the chain members (12a, 12b) are integrated with each other, the engagement states of the opposing connecting pins (24) relative to the pin holes (23a, 23b) are the same.
