Abstract:
This engagement estimation device comprises: an acquisition unit that, for each segment being measured from when the viewing of a video distributed via a network is instructed to start, acquires either of a parameter pertaining to the coding quality of the video in the segment being measured and a parameter pertaining to the viewing status of the video in the segment being measured; an estimation unit that, for each segment being measured, calculates an estimated value of an index for assessing engagement on the basis of the parameter acquired by the acquisition unit for the segment being measured. The engagement device is thus able to estimate engagement from parameters that can be observed within a terminal.
