Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an engagement member, which does not expose one of the fastening means when clothing is fastened together or a fabric section is stretched and for which damage of the fabric section of clothing, etc. and/or deterioration of the fastening means have been prevented. [Solution] The engagement member is provided with: a pair of fastening means (2, 4), which are installed on a pair of sections (101, 103) of a garment (100) that are to be fastened together and which engage with each other; an elastic member (6) that extends in the longitudinal direction and on the one end (6a) of which one of the fastening means (2) is attached; and a sac-shaped passage section (8), which accommodates the elastic member therein so as to allow movement and which is installed on one (101) of the sections that are to be fastened together. The other end (6b) of the elastic member is attached to the passage section. The other fastening means (4) is installed on the other (103) of the sections that are to be fastened together. The one fastening means is stored inside the passage section when there is no load on the elastic member and when the elastic member is drawn out and exposed to the outside from the passage section, engages with the other fastening means to fasten the sections that are to be fastened together.
