Abstract:
An engine control device (11) includes: a controlling unit (20) having an operation lever (21); a control unit (22); and a lock release switch (40). An operator operates the lock release switch (40) before moving the operation lever (21) from a neutral position (N) to a forward-side shift position (F) or a backward-side shift position (R). When the operation lever (21) is moved after the lock release switch (40) is operated, a shift mechanism (15) switches to forward-side shift or backward-side shift in accordance with the output of a detector (26). If the lock release switch (40) is not operated, the operation lever (21) moves but the shift mechanism (15) is not actuated because no signal permitting a shift is output.
