Title:
ENGINE-DRIVEN HEAT PUMP CHILLER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/038470
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
When a plurality of chiller units (100) are running in hot water operation, this heat pump chiller (1000) performs defrost operation on at least one chiller unit (100) at a time alternately while having at least one chiller unit (100) continue hot water operation such that all of the chiller units will not perform defrost operation at the same time. The defrost operation is an operation that switches hot water operation to a non-hot water operation by way of controlling an operation switching device (2), closes a first expansion valve (6) so that refrigerant does not flow in a water heat exchanger (4), and controls the opening angle of a second expansion valve (7) and a flow regulating valve (33) so that the refrigerant and an exhaust heat medium flow into the engine exhaust heat recovery device (5).
