Abstract:
In the present invention, after an engine is stopped, when a crankshaft is caused to rotate in reverse to prepare for the next start, the engine is stopped at a position before the compression top dead center, regardless of fluctuations in atmospheric pressure. A control unit (160) performs idle stop control in which an idle stop is performed when a vehicle stop has been detected on the basis of the vehicle speed, and rotates the crankshaft forward after having been rotated in reverse when the engine is restarted. The control unit (160) controls the speed of reverse rotation of the crankshaft (12) by a starter-generator (171) in accordance with the result of the measurement of atmospheric pressure by an atmospheric pressure measurement unit (252). Atmospheric pressure can be measured on the basis of the detection value from an intake pressure sensor of the engine. The control unit (160) changes the drive duty ratio of the starter on the basis of the atmospheric pressure measurement result. The correspondence between the atmospheric pressure and the drive duty ratio is stored in a map format (307), and the control unit (160) determines the drive duty ratio by referring to the map on the basis of the atmospheric pressure measurement result.
