Abstract:
A control device (40) controls the starting of an engine using a starter (20) which includes a motor unit (21), a pinion (23), and a one-way clutch (22) in combination with a motor/generator (30) which provides a drive torque to the engine (90) and which generates electric power using a drive torque provided by the engine. The control device is provided with: a first control unit for executing a first control for cranking the engine by means of the starter; a second control unit for executing a second control for causing, during the execution of the first control by the first control unit, the motor/generator to provide a drive torque to the engine; and a third control unit for executing a third control for stopping the starter after the second control is started by the second control unit, if it is determined that the one-way clutch is engaged.
