Abstract:
A start-up device (2) equipped with: a bypass channel (44) for connecting the compressed air discharge port of a compressor (26) in an electric exhaust supercharger (24) and the exhaust intake port of an exhaust turbine (25) to one another; a bypass valve (45) for opening and closing the bypass channel (44); and a start-up control unit (48) for opening the bypass valve (45) before starting the engine (1), rotating the compressor (26) of the electric exhaust supercharger (24) using an electric motor (28), and closing the bypass valve (45) at a timing according to the starting up of the engine (1).
