Abstract:
An engine suction rate controller comprising a control block (28) joined to a throttle body (17), the control block having a coupler (80) integrally formed therewith, a bypass valve (35), sensors (64, 73, 76), an actuator (39), the control block (28) having an electronic control unit (84) disposed on the outer end surface thereof, a cap (101) attached to the control block (28) to cover the electronic control unit (84), the cap (101) having a synthetic resin (103) potted therein to wrap the electronic control unit (84), the attaching portion of the cap (101) being sealed. This makes it possible for a functional test of the bypass control system to be conducted before it is attached to the throttle body, enhancing productivity.
