Abstract:
This engine system comprises a cooling circuit (50), an EGR cooler (32), flow path switching sections (53, 55), and a cooling circuit control unit (40). The flow path switching sections are capable of switching a flow path through which cooling water is supplied to an internal combustion engine and the EGR cooler. When the internal combustion engine is in a high-load state, the cooling circuit control unit raises the cooling capacity of the EGR cooler by executing cooling capacity distribution control in which the flow path switching sections are controlled so that the amount of easing of the cooling capacity of the internal combustion engine, which occurs due to ECR gas being introduced into the internal combustion engine, is distributed to the cooling capacity of the EGR cooler.
