Abstract:
An engine system (100) comprises an engine (1), a gaseous fuel supply pipe (10X), a fuel flow rate adjustment unit (71), and a fuel discharge unit (72). The engine (1) combusts at least gaseous fuel to generate power. The gaseous fuel supply pipe (10X) supplies gaseous fuel to the engine (1). The fuel flow rate adjustment unit (71) is capable of blocking gaseous fuel from being supplied to the gaseous fuel supply pipe (10X). In a state in which the fuel flow rate adjustment unit (71) is blocking gaseous fuel from being supplied, the fuel discharge unit (72) discharges gaseous fuel which is remaining in the gaseous fuel supply pipe (10X) to the outside of the gaseous fuel supply pipe (10X), using gas which has a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure.
