Abstract:
In order to configure a valve control mechanism that lifts an intake valve only by a required amount, while suppressing noise during operation, and is capable of optimally controlling an engine, this valve control mechanism is provided with a control member that rotates around a control shaft due to the driving force of an actuator, and the base end of a rocker arm is supported by an eccentric support part of the control member in such a manner as to be able to rock around a rocker shaft. The rocker arm is made to rock as a result of a camshaft cam coming into contact with an intermediate roller on the rocker arm, an operation is performed in which the intake valve opens due to the pressing force of the rocking end, and control is carried out such that the amount of lift of the intake valve is changed by shifting the rocker arm in the longitudinal direction via the operation of the actuator.
