Abstract:
Provided is an engine (10) having a gas turbine unit and multiple combustion units (80) for supplying combustion gas (51) to the gas turbine unit. Each of the combustion units (80) includes: a combustion chamber (11); a first mechanism (71) for compressing a gas (58) in the combustion chamber by reducing the volume of the combustion chamber (11) by causing a first wall surface (81a), which constitutes a portion of the combustion chamber, to move by means of an elastic force of a spring (83); and a second mechanism (72) for controlling, by opening and closing an exhaust port (85) of the combustion chamber, the timing for discharging combustion gas (51) from the exhaust port.
