Abstract:
Provided is an engine (5) having a gas supply unit (10) which, as a piston (12) reciprocates rectilinearly, supplies combustion gas for driving. The gas supply unit (10) includes: a first combustion chamber (31) provided on a first side of the piston; a first gas output opening (17) for supplying, for driving use, high-pressure combustion gas produced in the first combustion chamber; and a second combustion chamber (32) provided on a second side on the opposite side of the piston and generating a second force for moving the piston to the first side. The engine (5) also has a piston control unit (60) for controlling the position of the piston against a first force and the second force of the piston which is moved by combustion within the first combustion chamber.
