Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are an enhanced discontinuous reception-based paging method and apparatus, a device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: receiving eDRX configuration information sent from a core network device, wherein the eDRX configuration information comprises an eDRX cycle; if the eDRX cycle is greater than or equal to one superframe, determining a paging time window; and listening to paging messages on paging occasions corresponding to the terminal device within the paging time window. Embodiments of the present application provides an enhanced discontinuous listening method for paging messages for a terminal device in an idle state or in an inactive state. In addition, according to the embodiments of the present application, the power consumption and listening overhead of the terminal device are reduced by prolonging the cycle of discontinuous listening, thus facilitating power saving of the terminal device, and further prolonging the battery service life, especially for low-capability terminal devices.
