Abstract:
An enhanced TL-TCAM look-up table hardware search engine. Each word circuit comprises multiple enhanced TL-TCAM cell circuits. An enhanced TL-TCAM cell circuit comprises four memory cells and thirteen N-type transistors. A memory cell MC has a bistable circuit structure, a stored value being located at a T end of the memory cell MC, and an F end of the memory cell MC is a "not" value thereof. A number m of enhanced TL-TCAM cell circuits are connected together in parallel to form a sub-segment circuit, m being a positive integer. A word line WL and matching lines ML and ML_x of each enhanced TL-TCAM cell circuit in the sub-segment circuit are respectively short-circuited together. The matching line ML is connected to a drain electrode of an N-type transistor N15, the matching line ML_x is connected to a gate electrode of the N-type transistor N15, and a source electrode of the N-type transistor N15 is grounded. The matching line ML_x is connected to a drain electrode of the N-type transistor N14, a source electrode of the N-type transistor N14 is grounded, and a gate electrode of the N-type transistor N14 is connected to a signal line OneX_in-Sement_b. Multiple sub-segment circuits are connected in parallel to form a word circuit. The engine has advantages such as a low number of transistors, high search speed, and low power consumption.
