Abstract:
An environmental monitoring system (10) comprises a plurality of sensor terminals (200) installed in a region, and a server (100) connected to the sensor terminals by a network. The sensor terminals 200 each comprise a sensor for acquiring an environmental value, which is a physical quantity, and a sensor terminal communication unit for transmitting the environmental value to the server (100). The server 100 comprises a server communicating unit for receiving each environmental value, and a distribution map creating unit for creating a distribution map of the environmental value in the region. Each sensor repeatedly acquires the environmental value, and the server (100) may be provided with a generation source inferring unit which, if any of the environmental values exceeds a prescribed threshold, calculates a region in the distribution map of the environmental value at a time point in the past in which the environmental value satisfies a predetermined condition. The predetermined condition is that the environmental value in the region is at least equal to a predetermined environmental value, or the environmental value in the region is higher than outside the region and the area thereof is at most equal to a predetermined area.
