Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel peptide aldehyde compound which is useful for improving the storage stability of a protease for detergents. Provided is a subtilisin-like serine protease inhibitor containing, as an active ingredient, a peptide aldehyde compound represented by formula (1): [wherein A1 represents an amino acid residue of which an N-terminal amino group may be protected; A2 represents a leucine residue; and R represents CHO or CHOH-SO3M (wherein M represents a hydrogen atom or an alkali metal)] or a bisulfite adduct of the peptide aldehyde compound.
