Abstract:

An equalizer circuit (2) comprises: a plurality of discharging portions (D) provided corresponding to a plurality of secondary batteries (B) and used for discharging the corresponding secondary batteries (B) and converting the discharged energy to heat; a temperature detection unit (23) for detecting the temperature resulting from the converted heat; and an equalization control unit (21) for equalizing the charge stored in the secondary batteries (B) in such a way that a discharging portion (D) corresponding to a secondary battery to be discharged among the plurality of secondary batteries (B) is selected as a selected discharging portion and discharging is executed by the selected discharging portion. When the secondary battery is discharged by the selected discharging portion, the equalization control unit (21) more reduces the discharge current when the temperature detected by the temperature detection unit (23) is higher than a reference temperature (Tr) than when the detected temperature is lower than the reference temperature (Tr).
