Abstract:
An equatorial mount with stable weight distribution comprises a declination base (2), a right ascension shaft (5), an hour angle base bearing (1), a counterweight (9), an hour angle base (3), an hour angle locking handle (6), a positioning key (19), a positioning recess (20), a counterweight lever (15), and a polar scope (16). The hour angle base (3) is divided into an upper portion and a lower portion. The right ascension shaft (5) is fixed between the upper portion and the lower portion of the hour angle base (3). The positioning keys (19) are provided at the upper and lower portions of the hour angle base (3) close to a middle portion of the right ascension shaft (5). Two positioning recesses (20) corresponding to the positioning keys (19) are arranged at the middle portion of the right ascension shaft (5). The hour angle base bearing (1) is provided at each of two ends of the right ascension shaft (5). The polar scope (16) is provided under the right ascension shaft (5). The hour angle locking handle (6) is provided at an outer side of the hour angle base bearing (1) at the upper right of the right ascension shaft (5). The counterweight lever (15) is provided at the lower right of the declination base (2). The counterweight lever (15) is connected and fixed to the declination base (2). The counterweight (9) is provided at a lower end of the counterweight lever (15). The counterweight (9) is ring-shaped and connected and fixed to the counterweight lever (15). The present invention has a reasonable and advanced design, thereby enhancing stability of an equatorial mount, and simplifying operations.
