Description:
Ergonomic earphones

The invention subject matter is ergonomic earphones to be used to listen to music from domestic audio-video appliances, to conversations coming from professional communication equipment, sound reproducers, mobile phones and internet messages or network teleplays

5 and also to suppress noises coming from different working equipment. The commonly known earphones used for this purpose are composed of an elastic headband and adjustable soft ear-caps having loudspeakers or lacking them and being fastened to it on its both ends, their headband being self-adjusting to the shape of the head of a user and their ear-caps

I Q adhering to his/her ears. But the basic disadvantage and defect of all the well-known, so far, earphones both of an open or closed or half-open construction is the fact that, in case of the persons wearing glasses, the spongy ear-caps of these earphones exert pressure on the ear-arms of these glasses to make a person concerned feel a pressure on his/her j 5 head, which, as medical researches have shown, directly causes, headaches and a feeling of discomfort by using these earphones. The purpose of the invention is to develop a construction of the earphones to eliminate the above mentioned defects and discomfort of the well-known, so far, construction/design/ of these earphones by o improving the ergonomics thereof. The ergonomic earphones according to the present invention have the ear-caps with, in their upper portion, a canal for the ear-arms of the glasses of a user to put them into it. It is advantageous for both the ear-caps of the earphones to have a crosswise and roughly horizontally situated canal which, seen from its front, has 5 approximately the shape of a semi-circle. It is also advantageous for both the ear-caps of the earphones to have a vertically approximately situated canal, which, seen from its front, has approximately the shape of the "U" letter. It is also advantageous for both the ear-caps of the earphones to have, in the upper portion, a profile-like formed gap, in 0 which to place a plastic insert having approximately vertically situated two springy upper arms in which to place the ear-arms of the glasses of a user.

The ear-canals provided in the ear-caps of the earphones to receive the ear-arms of the glasses have improved the ergonomics of the ear-caps

35 of the earphones entirely by eliminating the pressure exerted by these ear-arms onto the head of a person wearing glasses, the pressure being originally exerted by the ear-caps of the earphones. Which in turn has made it possible to eliminate many diseases, the occupational ones included, in the persons wearing glasses and using earphones both to listen to the sounds of music or to suppress a noise, the diseases being caused by the long lasting pressure exerted by the ear-caps of the earphones onto the ear-arms of the glasses.

The invention subject matter as presented in the examples of its execution is shown on the figures below where Fig. 1 shows ergonomic earphones with a horizontal canal in their ear-caps together with glasses in a perspective view, Fig. 2 shows ergonomic earphones with a vertical canal in their ear-caps together with glasses in a perspective view, and Fig. 3 shows the ergonomic earphones, the ear-caps of which are equipped with a springy profiled element, in a front view. The ergonomic earphones are composed of an elastic head band I and adjustable ear-caps 2, fastened to the ends thereof, with loudspeakers in case of stereophonic earphones or without in case of earphones for suppressing a noise. The construction of these earphones allows their headband to be adjusted to the shape of the head and the ears of their user. The ear-caps 2 of these earphones in the shape similar to a flattened cylinder, as seen from the point of view of the auricle of the user, are made of an elastic material of the spongy type 3 , in the upper portion of which there is provided an approximately horizontally crosswise situated canal 4 in the shape, when seen from the front, similar to a semi-circle, to receive the ear arms 5 of the glasses 6 of a user. In other executions, not shown in the figure, the canal 4 has a U- like and C-like shape.

In the second example of the execution of the ergonomic earphones, as shown in the drawing Fig. 2, their ear-caps 2 have, in the upper potion of the spongy material 3, an approximately vertically situated canal 7 in the shape, when viewed from the front, similar to an elongated "U" letter, to receive the ear arms 5 of the glasses 6 of a user. In a further example of the execution of the ergonomic earphones, as shown in the drawing Fig. 3, their ear-caps 2 have, in their upper portion, profiled gaps 8 to receive into them a monolithic insert 9, made of an elastic plastic, whose two approximately vertically situated springy upper arms K) are supposed to receive into them the ear-arms 5_ of the glasses 6 of their user. The monolithic insert 9 has, in its front view, the form composed of the medium annular portion JJ . terminated with a U-like portion 12 at the bottom and terminated with two profiled arms K) touching each other at the top, whose upper ends 13 are parted outwards and lower ends !4_are placed within the annular portion JJ_, the ear-arms 5_ of the glasses 6 being slid into between the parted upper portions JJ of the arms JJ).
