Abstract:
A final escape device used in such an urgent state that fire occurs in a high−rise building and rescue by an aerial ladder truck and a helicopter is difficult, wherein an escaper (14) who attempts to get out of the building (12) carries a transfer device (30) and jumps down from the window (13) of the building (12), a rubber rope (22) and an auxiliary rope (24) are extracted from a rope storage device (20), when the escaper (14) falls, the rubber rope (22) is extended and the speed of the escaper (14) is gradually decreased, when the escaper (14) arrives at a ground, the rubber rope (22) is almost fully extended and the escaper (14) can gently land on the ground, and since the auxiliary rope (24) pulls an L−shape arm (34) when the escaper (14) lands on the ground, the rubber rope (22) comes out of the L−shape arm (34), whereby the escaper (14) is prevented from being upwardly pulled back again by a reduction in the length of the rubber rope (22) as in a bungee jump.
