Title:
ESTROGEN RECEPTOR GENES AND UTILIZATION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/052010
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Estrogen receptor genes characterized by having a base sequence encoding any of the following amino acid sequences, etc.: (a) the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1; (b) an amino acid sequence having a sequence identity of 85% or higher to the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 and being an amino acid sequence of a protein having an estrogen receptor activity; (c) an amino acid sequence encoded by the base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2; and (d) an amino acid sequence encoded by a base sequence having a sequence identity of 85% or higher to a DNA having the base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2 and being an amino acid sequence of a protein having an estrogen receptor activity; are provided. These genes are usable in, for example, a test system for evaluating the ability of a chemical to control the estrogen receptor activity.
