Abstract:
The present invention provides an evaporator mounted on a transporter, equipped with: a plurality of heat exchange units, which are lined up in the horizontal direction when the transporter is placed on a horizontal surface, the attitude of the plurality of heat exchange units changing in an integral manner; distribution pipes connected to each of the heat exchange units, the distribution pipes feeding a liquid-phase working fluid to the heat exchange units; and valves provided to each of the distribution pipes, the valves inhibiting the flow of the working fluid from the heat exchange units to the distribution pipes from passing therethrough at least when the tilt of the heat exchange units is equal to or greater than a prescribed threshold. Each of the heat exchange units has: an inlet part connected to a distribution pipe; and a heat exchange part, which includes at least one heat exchange channel extending upwards in a straight line from the inlet part, and which exchanges heat between a heat source and the working fluid passing through the heat exchange channel.
