Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve recognition accuracy of an imaging target in an asynchronous solid-state imaging element. This event detection device is provided with: a solid-state imaging element which has multiple photoelectric conversion elements that each photoelectrically converts incident light to generate an electric signal, and an address event detection unit that outputs a detection signal indicating the detection result regarding whether or not the amount of change in the electric signal of each of the photoelectric conversion elements has exceeded a prescribed threshold value; a timestamp signal generation unit which generates a timestamp signal that is used to indicate the point in time at which the detection signal was detected by the address event detection unit; and a modification unit which is provided in the timestamp signal generation unit and which modifies the time resolution of the timestamp signal in the case that the detection frequency of the detection signal of the address event exceeds a prescribed threshold value.
