Abstract:
[Problem] To detect exercise in a satisfactory manner without requiring special hardware in a health tool to be used, without requiring an exerciser to wear special equipment such as markers and sensors, and without using a complex algorithm to detect exercise. [Solution] Repeated physical exercise performed by an exerciser using a walking machine, a running machine, or the like, is imaged by an imaging unit. Motion information for the exerciser's head is then detected by an image analysis unit from an image input signal of the exerciser obtained by imaging. Next, the display speed of video data stored in a video data storage unit is controlled by a video control unit in accordance with the motion information and is displayed to the exerciser by a display device.
