Abstract:
The present invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst device having a base material 110, an upstream-side lower coat layer 121, an upstream-side upper coat layer 122, a downstream-side lower coat layer 131, and a downstream-side upper coat layer 132, the exhaust gas purification catalyst device satisfying conditions (i) and (ii).
(i) The concentration of Pt and/or Pd in the upstream-side upper coat layer 122 and the downstream-side lower coat layer 131 is greater than the concentration of Pt and/or Pd in the upstream-side lower coat layer 121, and is greater than the concentration of Pt and/or Pd in the downstream-side upper coat layer 132.
(ii) The concentration of Rh in the upstream-side lower coat layer 121 and the downstream-side upper coat layer 132 is greater than the concentration of Rh in the upstream-side upper coat layer 122, and is greater than the concentration of Rh in the downstream-side lower coat layer 131.
