Title:
EXHAUST GAS TREATING CATALYST FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS CONTAINING SILICON COMPOUND
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/156951
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention is an exhaust gas purifying catalyst for purifying an exhaust gas containing a silicon compound, which comprises a supporting body and a catalyst layer that is formed on the supporting body and is obtained by loading an inorganic oxide carrier with a noble metal. This exhaust gas purifying catalyst is characterized in that an overcoat layer that is formed of zirconia and/or titania is provided on the catalyst layer. In order to make both initial activity and durability good, it is preferable that the overcoat layer is formed to have a thickness of 13-70 μm. According to the present invention, the activity can be maintained for a long period of time in the process for purifying an exhaust gas that contains silicon.
